IRA
Savings Account
An Individual
Retirement Account (IRA) savings account, opened with a minimum
$1 deposit, earns a monthly, tax-deferred dividend. IRAs were
first used as a tax-deductible instrument to supplement your
retirement. Despite recent changes in legislation, an IRA
remains a very effective way to save for your retirement.
Contributions and distributions must follow IRA
rules and regulations set by federal and state governments.
IRA
funds are separately insured to $100,000 through the National
Credit Union Administration, a U.S. government agency. We
charge no fees for administering IRA funds and our monthly
dividend rate surpasses standard bank retirement/passbook
account rates by 1 to 1 ½%. We also compare favorably
to local credit unions.
