Who can join Sierra Point Credit Union?

We offer an exclusive, lifetime membership to many groups of people. You can enjoy using personalized financial services with competitive rates on loans and savings and convenient access accounts.

The following groups are eligible to join Sierra Point Credit Union:

  • Employees and family members of all businesses within the city of South San Francisco;
  • Residents of South San Francisco;
  • Members of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of the San Francisco Archdiocese in San Mateo, San Francisco and Marin Counties;
  • Employees & students of the public & parochial schools in the cities of Burlingame, Foster City, Hillsborough, Millbrae, San Bruno, San Mateo & South San Francisco as well as employees and students of the Cabrillo Unified School District;
  • Employees and students of the Portola Day Care Center & R.W. Drake & Hillside Nursery School;
  • Members of the American Association of Retired Persons;
  • Employees of the Bayshore Corporate Center;
  • Family members and persons living in the same household of the above listed organizations;
  • Members of the governing & personnel boards serving in the above areas.

How do you join?

You must complete a membership application and enclose your minimum share deposit of $100. Your minimum share deposit of $25 and lifetime membership fee of $20 is required to be a SPCU member and take advantage of our many financial services and must remain on deposit for the duration of your membership.

There are several ways to process your application:

  • Call or visit the CU office and request a membership application. Complete the application and mail or bring it to us with your $25 minimum deposit and membership fee of $20.
  • You can also complete the on-line membership application, print it out and mail it along with your $25 minimum share deposit and $20 membership fee.
  • Your savings and IRA accounts are separately insured to $100,000 by the National Credit Union Administration, a U.S. Government Agency that also happens to be the strongest of all savings funds available.
