Sierra
Point Credit Union is owned by its members and run by a
Board of Directors you elect. You can be confident that
your financial privacy is a top priority of this credit
union. We are required by law to give you this privacy notice
to explain how we collect, use and safeguard your personal
financial information.
Sharing
of Information With Others
We are
committed to providing you with competitive products and
services to meet your financial needs, which necessitates
that we share information about you to complete your transactions.
As permitted by law, we may share information about your
transactions such as account numbers, repayment history,
social security number, address, etc. We do so to provide
processing of your transactions. This is generally done
with third party providers who are required to maintain
strict confidentiality of your data and they are not permitted
to use this information for any other purposes than what
it is provided for and they are not allowed to share it
with any other parties.

you with certain financial opportunities, we have entered
into joint marketing agreements with other companies that
provide additional financial products for you to consider.

We collect

we collect to companies that perform marketing services
on our behalf or to other financial institutions with which
we have joint marketing agreements.

membership and loan applications and other forms, we obtain
information such as name, address, social security number,
driver's license number and income.

your transactions with us or other companies that work
closely with us to provide you with financial products
and services, we obtain information such as your account
balances, payment history, parties to transactions and
credit card usage.
- From
consumer reporting agencies, we obtain information such
as your creditworthiness, credit history and checking
account history.
- From
verifications of information you provide on applications
and other forms, we obtain information from current or
past employers, other financial institutions and other
sources listed on the application.
We may
also disclose information we collect about you under other
circumstances as permitted or required by law. These disclosures
typically include information to process transactions as
you authorize, or protect the security of our financial
records.

we want you to feel secure that we are respecting your privacy.
The only private information we have about you is the information
you choose to give us (such as providing feedback or completing
a form). We do not release that information to others without

you send us an e-mail that is general in nature and we respond,
these are generally not secure. A secure (encrypted) e-mail
form is available for e-mails that contain personal information
that should remain secure such as membership and loan applications.

your data. Our employees are trained in the importance of
maintaining confidentiality and member privacy. We maintain
